What Watch Already is

Watch Already is a movie recommendation service accessible via web and Amazon Alexa. It helps you track movies you want to watch, movies you've seen, and your streaming service preferences — then uses that information to recommend what to watch.

What we collect

• Your email address and encrypted password, used to identify your account
• Movies you add to your watchlist or mark as seen
• Your genre preferences and streaming service subscriptions
• Movie recommendations we've made to you and whether you acted on them
• If you use the Alexa skill: your Amazon account identifier and, if you grant permission, your Alexa given name to personalize your profile
• Basic usage data such as when you last signed in

How we use it

We use your data solely to operate Watch Already — to make recommendations, remember your watchlist and preferences, and support multiple profiles in a household. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

Alexa voice data

When you use the Watch Already Alexa skill, Amazon may send us a voice profile identifier and, if you grant the "Given Name" permission, your first name. We use this only to link your voice to the correct Watch Already profile. We do not receive or store audio recordings.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including watchlist, seen items, preferences, recommendations, and Alexa profile links — is permanently deleted.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us at support@justwatchalready.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

Your password is stored as a one-way hash and is never readable by us. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Watch Already is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Watch Already after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
